SCRIBBLY GUM BARK, BLUE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK
The scribbly gum is a type of Eucalypt that looks like someone has doodled all over its trunk. It's actually the work of a small tenant, the larvae of scribbly gum moths that leave distinctive burrowing patterns on the bark. This was shot near Lawson in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney.
