SADHU AND TREE ROOTS, VARANASI
This sadhu was holding court by the roots of a tree that was growing out of the wall in the riverside area of Varanasi. I asked him if I could take some photos and the crowd moved aside.
I took a few shots and when I turned around an even larger crowd had gathered to watch! It was a sublime moment in my travels to collect all the images I needed for my Chakra series. Please see the Muladhara or base chakra shot to see how I used this image.
